Oct-Nov 2013 ATC Swap Theme

***THIS SWAP IS NOW CLOSED***

Hi Everyone

The criteria for this swap is:

Black Magic

Feel free to interpret this criteria anyway you like but make sure your ATC is predominantly  black with a touch of orange colour too.  If you celebrate Halloween, then this is the ideal colour combo for you.  Alternatively, there are many masking and resist techniques which use black as the background base to make other colours pop.  Black chalkboard is also a popular supply at the moment too.  Note: this does not need to be a Halloween themed ATC, it can be any theme so long as it's predominantly black, has something orange and can include other colours too.
If you need some techniques inspiration, Splitcoaststampers has a terrific resources section which you may find useful. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/

I do hope you will participate - any questions feel free to leave a comment.

What's an ATC?

An ATC is the acronym for Artist Trading Card.
For anyone new to ATCs, it's a small piece of original work that measures 2.5" x 3.5". There is no right or wrong way to create an ATC - you just need to stick to the measurements and the rest is up to your imagination.

    1. Hi Letisha :) Pretty sure there are millions of ATC swaps going on around the world, and if you Google ATC Swap you'll find some of them. If you want an Australian based one there's Inkurable Stampers here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Inkurable-Stampers/279500377024.
      or Darkroom Door here: http://rachelgreig.typepad.com/darkroomdoor/2013/09/anything-goes-atc-swap-details.html
Both are bigger swaps, so you need to make more ATC's but if you have the time, why not :D

  6. Glad you're joining in ladies. Mazz, I'm not a Halloween girl either, but can think of a few things I can do with a black background and other colours. Now which technique to choose? ;)

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. :)

    1. You can never have enough dies....or paper, or stamps, or ink, or paint, or lace, or charms, or copics, or stencils or bling, or embossing powders,or.........

  8. Sorry, will need to pass on this one. Today I started sticky taping up my stamp pads ready for moving. We hopefully have sold our home - the people signed the contract today so hoping it goes well as we already had one contract fall through.

My desktop computer will be getting packed away possibly or being left at my daughters as we will need to live in our caravan as plans have changed with where we will be moving to. So I must make sure my laptop has the details of this blog so I do not lose contact. I will take some papercraft things in the van so might even be able to still take part in the swaps ( but not this one )

  9. I've just closed the swap and there will be 5 joining in this time. Sorry for the delay in closing the swap, I've been lazying on a beach in sunny far north queensland and only returned home to chilly Melbourne tonight. ;) Sigh.....it's back to reality aka work on Monday too. The only crafty thing I did whilst away was write a daily journalling card which I'll put in my family's PL album and will use to prompt me for a couple of traditional 12x12 layouts later.
