June-July 2013 ATC swap theme

***THIS SWAP IS NOW CLOSED***

Hi Everyone

I was looking out the window today at the eastern rosella birds in the trees and decided that the criteria for this swap would be:

I can see clearly now.....(aka acetate/transparency)

Feel free to interpret this criteria anyway you like but make sure your ATC contains a piece of transparency or acetate or any other clear plastic item you might have.  Transparencies are flexible and may come preprinted or alternatively you can use all sorts of techniques on them such as painting, stamping, alcohol inking, die cutting, dry embossing, punching etc.  You can recycle any clear plastic items you have to add to your ATC, you don't have to purchase a branded transparency for this swap.
Guidelines:
  1. Australian papercrafters are encouraged to participate in this ATC swap.
  2. If you commit to this swap please, out of consideration for all participants meet the set deadlines.
  3. To participate, write a comment to add your name to the list of participants below and I will email you my address details.
  4. Post your ATCs and a stamped self addressed envelope to me by the posting deadline (see 7. below). I recommend that you put your ATCs into a plastic bag to protect them from bad weather.

    Deadline dates:
  5. Registration list for this swap opens Friday 24 May and closes Saturday 1 June.
  6. To register to participate, please leave a comment before the closing date. I will then confirm the number of ATCs needed to be made for the current swap.
  7. Swaps must be in the mail to me by no later than Friday 19 July (as mail can take a business week to arrive to me, depending upon where you are located and I should receive them all by Friday 26 July at the latest).
  8. I will post swaps received on Monday 29 July at the latest so you should all receive your ATCs before the end of the month.

I do hope you will participate - any questions feel free to leave a comment.

What's an ATC?
An ATC is the acronym for Artist Trading Card.
For anyone new to ATCs, it's a small piece of original work that measures 2.5" x 3.5". There is no right or wrong way to create an ATC - you just need to stick to the measurements and the rest is up to your imagination.

  1. I have been busy downsizing my HUGE craft stash as my husband and I are getting our home ready to sell and hopefully buy another home closer to where my one and only daughter lives - Byron Bay. We are not thinking of living there... not my kind of town and WAY too expensive for housing there.
I have all my things set out like a store to sell and have so far sold about $200.00 worth.
So, I would like to say... YES... I will take part in this swap as you are giving us plenty of time to send them in.

  2. I'm also a yes :)
WOW A-M, good luck with the move. The area around Byron is gorgeous, so I'm sure you'll love it. Selling your stash is a great idea - mostly because then you'll be able to buy heaps more new stuff LOL!!

  3. Oh wow, Anne-Marie I don't envy you having to go through your things to downsize. I helped my parents downsize a couple of years ago and it was a big job, especially as my Mum is a terrible hoarder. I hope all goes well with the move.

Thanks everyone for joining up. I'll check with Maggie to see if she'll be joining us and will confirm final numbers next week. :)

  4. Hi Ladies, Just letting you know that Maggie isn't well enough to participate yet, so she sends her apologies to the group. She'll let me know when she's back on her feet and ready to play along again.
